Performed 9 shows w this song :))
This song represents freedom. It is about the train from South Africa to Zimbabwe taking workers to and back from the mines. It talks about keeping the train moving. It was sung in front of Mandela's home the night he died & was kept going until the wee hours. Great performances, all

The white person said regardless of the correct spelling they'd leave it as it is cos some "Walton MUsic" published it that way. do you think this song is from chicago?
I haven't heard this in years. We sang this in my college choir back in the 1970's. One of our favorites.
My freshman year of high school! This was the only year I was in the mixed choir - I was in senior mens the next three years. This is still hands down my FAVORITE piece I ever saw in GMEA and made me totally want to be in senior mens. Guess I got my wish 😂
I'm doing this for the spring concert
who is the soloist?
Absolutely adore this song! Easily one of my favorites to hear in a choir and these kids are amazing
Stellar
Lovely
Stunning
Exemplary performance. I love Haydn's take on the "Gloria in excelsis" text. It is so charming
Csimpánzoknak a fán a helyük.
I sang the solo at 12 years old, it was with about five other girls but still.
Feels like yesterday! So thankful that I was part of this amazing choir as a sophomore 🥹
Not me running into you in the comments on this video!! 😂 hey friend 😍 I was just listening to the video from when we sang Tres Cantos Nativos!
I'm singing this song for Junior High All State!! I'm so excited to be included in it!!
❤
I wish I could hear 👂 Rondout valley high school sing 🎶 tshotsholoza song 🎶 and the circle of life song 🎶 at the 2023 spring concert and the 2022 winter ❄️ concert 🎶
This is my first year in Choir and this is the song we are singing at our first concert in 2 weeks- Update: It's in 4 days and I'm sick🥲
I wish I could see Rondout valley high school sing 🎶 tshotsholoza song 🎶 at the 2022 spring concert 🎶 and the winter ❄️ concert 🎶
Milledgeville does displays like this one for 4th of July. I have video of it on my channel.
Ill never forget doing this for my school. Whole choir brought the house down. Good memory. Love this song and all of its hidden meaning. Even 10 years later this song is still incredibly powerful.
My choir College sing this song and our professor said this song is for more advanced choir. And this 9th and 10th graders can sing this song, its could be possible either the school is experienced music or the teacher like to push challenging on their students. My music teacher at high school did the same to us and it's help us to push out of our comfort zone because if we stuck on singing English only song than it's hurt us music students not gotten used different languages songs. I see this first handed when some music experienced students and new ones haven't experienced different languages songs. I did and I can see why my music teacher said it's really important to sing in different languages. My classmates and professor was shocked I can sing in different language so easily. My professor asked how, I told her my music teacher from my highschool likes to push us to learned different language songs. She was impressed and asked to help out other who needed help which I did.
Good job I love singing in choir I’ve been in it for 2 years and a half
The correct spelling for "Tshotsholaza" is Shosholoza. Moving Fast, Moving Strong. The word Shosholoza is a combination of both Ndebele (of Zimbabwe) and Zulu (of South Africa) words meaning “to push forward, endeavor, or strive.” The sound of the word itself is symbolic of the steam engine trains that carried miners through the mountains
I GOT THE SOLO FOR THIS SONG, being able to listen to previous Tenors/Bass singers really helps me figure how to sing it as best as possible
I’m doing my solo tomorrow, I’m super nervous but at the same time I’m so excited
Got the solo for this, performing this Monday
How’d it go?? Same for me, i perform in 3 days
Yo escuchando* Yo flipando*😳 Wey no puedo dejar de escuchar la música me gusta es contraste de las notas la mezcla de voz femenina y masculina queda genial.
Such great memories. My daughter was in this choir and I was a chaperone. So thankful I was able to see this in person!
I love 💗 how 9/10 grades got together to sing 🎶 Tshostoloza song 🎶
Does anyone remember the composer of this piece?
Loosin Yelav - Composer: Azat Manookyan ; lyrics H. Aghabapi
I was in this group! Came to see if anyone had posted videos, thank you for this!

Module brought me here...
Hahahahaa same us
Ummm....... I deem this video......... SAVED TO PLAYLIST
Sensacional
the version I have is by Josiah Holland 1874 (words) and Kohoutek BF White 1844 (tune) from the Baptist Hymnal 1975.... sounds just like this.
so for the best sung compared to the others that I have been looking through :-))
what choir is that? where from?
this was part of the fmea all-state choir (florida music educators association). choir students from around the state compete to perform in this prestigious conference and this was one of the middle school choirs for that year! all-state ensembles will always be some of the best sounding young musicians you'll ever hear!
@@rosegold5720 thank you for the answer ♡
@@hasauka HI I'M SORRY I WAS WRONG!! Basically everything is the same except for this was in Georgia and NOT Florida!! Same concept, different state (but fmea did this around the same time so that's why I was confused haha)
@@rosegold5720 ok! Thaaaanks!
🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🕯
Very nice
They did these in the 90s, but we always went in the Food Depot parking lot where the Ross store now stands!
Logic
Those altos 🔥🔥🔥
